The Karner Blue

The A-frame just over the bridge — the one guests ask for first. Named for the Karner blue butterfly, a Wisconsin endangered species you may well meet in the meadow.

The stay

The one over the bridge

Cross the little bridge and the Karner Blue is waiting in the trees. It's the cabin guests ask for by name, and the reason we started naming them at all — so you know exactly which one you're booking.

Inside are sleeping pads and cots; outside, somewhere to sit as the light goes. Mornings are for coffee on the step and birdsong; evenings for the fire and the stars.
